SendNeo in v0
Let v0 add transactional email to the app it builds: one secret, one prompt, and your app calls the SendNeo API.
Set it up
- Create an API key in SendNeo (a test key while you build).
- Add SENDNEO_API_KEY as a secret in your v0 project, so it stays on the server.
- Paste the prompt below into v0, with your own From address.
Prompt for v0
Add transactional email to this app with SendNeo, a Resend-compatible email API.
- Call it only from server-side code. Read the key from the secret SENDNEO_API_KEY and never send it to the browser.
- Send with POST https://sendneo.yorkermedia.com/api/emails, header "Authorization: Bearer <key>", JSON body with
"from", "to", "subject" and "html" (add "text" for a plain-text version).
- Use this From address on my verified domain: Acme <hello@mail.acme.com>
- Add an "Idempotency-Key" header built from the record and purpose (for example "order-4821-receipt"),
so a retried request never sends the same email twice.
- A successful response is {"id": "..."}. Errors return {"statusCode", "name", "message"}: log the message,
retry only 429 and 5xx responses with a backoff and the same Idempotency-Key.
- While I test with an sn_test_ key, send to delivered@test.sendneo.dev — nothing reaches a real inbox.
Start with the sign-up confirmation email.Keep the key on the server
The prompt asks for server-side calls only. A key in browser code can be copied by anyone who opens your site.
Test before you go live
With an sn_test_ key, mail to delivered@test.sendneo.dev is simulated. Switch to a live key once your domain is verified.
